You may want to schedule your stay at the Nomad House to coincide with one or more exciting events that take place annually in the Nevada City/Grass Valley area. The Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley is the venue for many festivals and events, including the county fair in August. The Draft Horse Classic, held in September, is hugely popular. We can even arrange to board your horses at the Nomad House property during that event. The highly professional "Music in the Mountains" classical music festival, under the longtime direction of Paul Perry, has four seasons at the fairgrounds during the year. The California Bluegrass Association presents its annual festival in June each year, and WorldFest, with musical artists from around the world, takes place each July.

Other events include the Nevada City Classic, a world-class cycling competition, held on Father's Day each year; book fairs and wine tastings; and regular events at the historic Miners Foundry in Nevada City (check their calendar at www.minersfoundry.org).
